Component two overview
- Three industries, three sections, four questions
- 30 marks per section. Spend 50 minutes per industry/section (62.5m)
- One industry will be split in to two 15 mark questions. 25 minutes (31m) on each 15 marker
- Analytical. Synoptic. Extended. You will need an introduction and a conclusion.
- Synopticity refers to bringing information together to form a bigger picture. Referring to other aspects of the media course (for example using audience debates such as fandom in a representation question) and drawing attention to issues of context (such as the history of feminism, arguments around regulation and the effect of violence on audiences etc) will be strongly rewarded.
