There's only one way we allow you to submit coursework, and that's through the Google Drive. Luckily, it's nice and straightforward, as long as you follow each and every step exactly!
This tutorial shows you how to export either a rough cut or a final cut of your music video, and how to submit it to the submission Drive.
Do NOT skip any steps! If you do, everything will go wrong! If you run in to any issues, ask someone to help you out!
1 - Set your 'in', by moving the blue selection line to the very first part of the video you want to export, and then pushing 'I' on the keyboard
2 - Now set your 'out' by moving the blue selection line to the LAST part of the video you want to export, and pushing 'O' on the keyboard. What you've done here is tell Premiere which parts of the video you're going to be working with. If you are exporting a rough rough cut, then make sure you've selected 30 seconds of footage
3 - Next, either click 'file/media/export' from the top of the screen, or, even better, just push CTRL+M on a PC, or CMD + M if you are using a Mac. This export screen will pop up. Make sure the settings are set to how they are in the image, then click the blue text next to 'output name'
4 - This screen should pop up. Select the same folder where you store al your footage, and make sure you name your file something easy to find, for example 'Michael rough rough cut'
5 - If you're happy that you've selected the right bit of your video, and that you've renamed it (good luck finding it if you don't!), then hit export. Premiere will now render and export your video as a file that can be uploaded to Drive, YouTube, your phone... anywhere!
6 - Last bits. Make sure you're signed in to your Google account, and then click shared with me, and then the folder that you submit work to, eg 2021 - 2023. Then pick the right block
7 - Now, go to C3, find your name, and open this file
8 - Then, finally, just drag your exported file from your music video folder in to the rough cut folder in your Google Drive music video rough cut folder.
That's all you need to do! There's no need to email your teacher to say you've uploaded it. We'll know!
