KA5 'spoilers'

The KA5 exam will take on a very similar structure to the KA4 exam, with the same kind of questions for the same industries. However the examples for the unseen questions will change, and the precise wording will also change.

So how should you prepare for the exam? Go through the following points!

1 - Remind yourself of what came up in KA4, and read the indicative content

You can click here to find this. Not only can you remind yourself of the structure of the exam and the industries that will come up, but also you can read the indicative content, which is basically 'what you could have written'.

2 - Read some exemplar responses

You can find two anonymised exemplar responses to the last exam by clicking here. If you are panicking a bit and thinking 'what does a good answer even look like?', this might be a good place to start

3 - Use the industries tab to research and revise the industries that will be coming up

There is a crazy amount of information on the blog now, and arguably you could do 90% of your revision just using this blog. So use it!

4 - Familiarise yourself with the phrase 'social and cultural circumstances'

This phrase came up in the '23 final exam and it seems it threw a few of our students off. For this KA5 mock, it will come up in the newspaper audience question (Q2, a 10 marker), so make sure you understand how audience's social and cultural circumstances may affect both how they are targeted and how they respond newspapers!
